Drew and Lindsay’s origin story began at the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!) in 2014 at the Det. 775 Air Force ROTC uniform room. Drew and another friend of theirs had been put on cadet uniform duty. In comes Lindsay to grab her uniform as a newly transferred, Kinesiology student and Cadet from the University of North Carolina - Greensboro - they had some downtime while waiting, so Drew began to show her some cat videos (which TikTok wasn’t even a thing, so how was this possible?) …and the rest was history or the beginning?  

Soon a friendship quickly grew, and they became inseparable together over the course of the next two years at USC they did everything together, attend USC football games, rugby games, trips to five points, walking to and from class, weekends in Charleston, and enjoying sushi at Tsunami, drinks with friends at Five Points, and found that they had so much in common but were yet also so different. Drew was the moon, to Lindsay’s Sun, the tide, to her shore, and the ice to her flame (can you tell Lindsay loves romantasies?). Soon after that they began dating on the 2nd of August, 2015. 

We both remember a turning point when we knew we both were in trouble was when Lindsay came as a guest to Drew’s Cousin’s wedding (Scott) they both knew they were endgame. But life had big plans: Lindsay wanted to finish school, travel, move to LA, and work in the arts, while Drew was beginning his journey as an Air Force → Space Force officer in Cheyenne, WY. And you know what they say, distance makes the heart grow fonder! 

And while distance was a challenge, it was also a gift - it magnified every moment they did share, and their love only grew stronger. Flash forward, Lindsay began to build a life in LA when soon after she found out (after many attempts to get him here Drew got finally got stationed here at the LA Air Force Base - yay!) Finally, they were together again in the same place and meshed two beautiful lives together, traveled the world together, and rescued two bonded kittens together: Bebe and Ellie!

Drew then proposed in one of their most favorite places in the world - Kaua’i, HI, doing one of Lindsay’s MOST favorite things in the world to do, “hiking” The Kalalau Trail on the Nā Pali Coast. We can not wait to celebrate our love with our most favorite people in the world at our most favorite place in the world. See you Sunday, August 2nd, 2026!
